Waterjet Cut Screens

Decorative Screens for Businesses Homes or Gardens

Using our waterjet cutting CNC machine technology, we are able to cut all kinds of materials for the fabrication of many projects for all kinds of industrial and non industrial uses.

This year in addition to the work we provide for customers, we have been working with an award winning Scottish born artist and designer who also currently lives and works close to our shop in Addison TX. The digital agency she manages produced the website for us that you are reading this blog on. In the UK she is very well known for her art and product designs and is growing a base of clients now in the US also.

We first met Libby Sara Day when she was a design engineer and project manager at TTG almost six years ago on her first moving to Texas, she came to visit us to enquire about fabricating some custom elements for a trade show exhibit Libby had drawn up using AutoCad.

Libby has been a career long designer in various business verticals including commercial interior design. HollyFab delivered on the project in the quality way we always do, and around that time we learned Libby's father originally came from the same town as we did in Louisiana and that she liked to making gumbo...in fact she brought some to the shop just last month.

We had featured a project back in March on our waterjet cutting page where we collaborated together to produce restaurant dividers for Starwood Cafe just before the lockdown here in the DFW area. You can view the project being cut in the video at the bottom of this page and directly below images of the finished divider which separated the booth seating from the kitchen in the restaurant + some other designs by Libby Day

As an essential business HollyFab and like many other local businesses, have all been pulling together and navigating these unchartered waters as part of  a wider business community to combat the many effects of COVID-19. You have no-doubt seen that we have been producing products such as hand sanitizing stations and guards for businesses to help keep them open and safely for the public during these times.

We have all been working within our new normals and looking optimistically to the future. We are currently working on some further custom collaborate screen projects which we will share soon with you all. HollyFab are excited to announce that Libby is launching an ecommerce standalone site this month where HollyFab will be the manufacturer for all of her decorative screen designs, for sale in the US.

While many projects will continue to be custom and drawn to fit, standard sheet sizes will be available for screens, wall art and more to be enjoyed in a business, home or garden setting and can be ordered online from the comfort and safety of your home and shipped direct. Customers will be able to select pre-designed patterns in materials such as metal, glass, plexiglass and wood and choose finishes such as powder-coating, which give an enameled colored effect on aluminium for example.

Stay tuned, but If there is a project you have currently that needs a digital designer or you would like to learn more about getting a screen made you can reach out to Libby directly via her HollyFab email by clicking on the button below.

Digital fabrication has been around for some time but never has there been a time in recent history has it been so important as now. We live in a digital age and when a crisis such as a pandemic as we are experiencing globally in 2020 hits, digital design and tooling to produce essential parts for industry and consumers is and will continue to be a precise and effective methodology for fabrication.

Today’s modern waterjets can cut through virtually any material and at a material thickness of 12” or more. This includes metals, even titanium and porous and nonporous stone such as granite and quartz. Most modern machines offer Omni-directional cutting and with no heat stress to the material being cut, waterjet offers a precise and versatile solution in the manufacture of a part or product.
